ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re seeking a confident, motivated sales professional to join our team as an Area Manager. In this dynamic role, you’ll have the independence to drive growth and make an impact by expanding fluid-applied coating sales within the commercial roofing market. You’ll leverage your expertise to build relationships, manage a thriving customer base, and proactively secure new opportunities. By using value-added, solution-based selling, you’ll collaborate with contractors, dealers, and building owners to deliver exceptional results and help achieve Region and Division sales goals. The ideal candidate will be based in or near Indianapolis, Louisville, or St. Louis. 

 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Perform sales presentations to contractors, distributors, dealers and building owners.
  • Provide product knowledge and hands on training to contractors, dealers and distribution personnel.
  • Ability to consult on commercial roofing best practices and perform inspections on the roof.
  • Generate leads through contacts and marketing campaigns to add to the customer base and create new projects.
  • Manage on-going sales process by developing relationships and responding to customer needs with the ability to close sales.
  • Represent Gaco at local and regional Trade Shows.
  • Ability to meet or exceed territory sales & profit targets.
  • Ability to travel frequently in designated territory (50%).

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • 3-5 years sales experience (Coatings & Building Material industry is preferred).
  • Strong track record in building business and increasing sales. 
  • Ability to build effective and lasting relationships. 
  • Ability to speak and present to small groups.
  • Ability to climb a ladder and step onto a roof.
  • Computer Skills - Ability to navigate MS Office (Excel, Word, Power-Point).
  • Basic math skills, calculating discounts, and calculating area.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbal and written.
