Schedule: Monday - Friday (3 pm to 11:30pm) Friday Overtime if needed.
Pay: $40.00 per hour
ABOUT THE ROLE
This position will report to the Maintenance and Reliability Manager and help to ensure the facilities and equipment are safe and efficient for all employees. The Maintenance Technician position supports the plant by checking, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, replacing, and maintaining industrial manufacturing equipment. The facility is a clean, modern and well-lit work environment with a climate-controlled Maintenance area. Occasional outdoor activities in hot or adverse weather.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
● Perform periodic, scheduled inspections and checks of equipment to determine whether failures or issues are present and determine how soon the corrections/adjustments may need to be made
● Assemble and disassemble machines to make repairs, perform inspections, and replace with new items while maintaining safety and production goals in mind
● Troubleshoot equipment to identify root cause(s) and suggest appropriate follow-up actions
● Identify failed components and determine necessary replacement parts
● Interact directly with production and other plant teammates in a professional manner
● Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to receive work instructions, identify parts that belong to machines, and fully document work performed
● Comply with all safety and environmental protocols relating to operations
● Locate spare parts in the storeroom and follow stock check-out processes
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Required:
● High school diploma
● Ideally five or more years’ experience in an industrial environment as a maintenance employee performing Preventive (planned) and Corrective (unplanned) Maintenance
● Knowledge of and experience working in all the following areas:
o Mechanical
▪ Power Transmission – chains, belts, gearboxes, bearings, brakes, couplings, etc.
▪ Lubrication – oils, greases, storage and handling, application, etc.
▪ Hydraulics & Pneumatics – valves, actuators, compressors and pumps, piping and tubing, etc.
o Electrical
▪ Familiar with Industrial electrical up to 480 volts
Desired:
● Associates degree or 2+ years of vocational training
● Experience with maintenance technologies such as Vibration Analysis, Thermography, Ultrasound Inspection, Oil Analysis, and Precision Alignment
● Certifications in mechanical/industrial fields ( millwright, welding, etc.)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
● Ability to lift 50 pounds
● Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and perform duties on an elevated platform
● Ability to kneel, bend, reach and stoop
● Ability to read, interpret and utilize drawings and diagrams (electrical, piping, P&ID)
● Ability to pass a Forklift/Aerial Lift test
