Who is Holcim European Business Services?
Holcim European Business Services (EBS) is the internal Shared Service Center of Holcim for the European region, based in Kosice, Slovakia.
With a team of over 330 employees representing more than 20 nationalities, EBS provides a comprehensive range of financial & administrative services to the 23 countries of Holcim across Europe. These services encompass Reporting, Controlling, Accounting & Consolidation, Invoicing, Treasury, Procurement, HR administration, Recruitment, Payroll, Data Analytics, Sustainability and several others.
Main Responsibilities
- Responsibility for monitoring and analyzing the financial performance of production plants.
- Financial reporting and comprehensive analysis of plant P&L.
- Ongoing analysis of key financial and production indicators.
- Participation in the month-end closing process, including preparing reserve calculations.
- Preparing budgets for plants, monitoring their implementation, and analyzing variances.
- Quality control of data provided by the business.
- Participation in the strategic planning process for plants, including developing financial forecasts and growth scenarios.
- Preparing financial planning tools (templates, reports, historical data).
- Providing recommendations for actions to optimize financial performance.
- Participation in monthly performance reviews and operational meetings.
- Close collaboration with operational departments (production, sales, planning, logistics).
- Financial support for potential development projects.
- Preparing ad hoc reports for internal and group purposes.
- Collaboration with financial audits and internal controls.
Required professional experience and skills:
- Higher education (preferred fields: economics/finance).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in operational analysis or financial departments (finance/controlling).
- Experience in Big4 is an additional asset.
- Familiarity with the operations of manufacturing companies.
- Experience working with ERP systems (SAP) and large databases.
- Knowledge of financial and managerial accounting principles.
- Proficiency in MS Excel/PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational skills, communication abilities, and capacity to work under pressure.
- Fluent Polish & English
