CCS Process Project Manager

We are looking for a Process Project Manager to provide technical leadership and direction for Process Engineering activities within Cement Plants and Carbon Capture (CCS) projects, ensuring alignment with plant performance objectives and Holcim’s sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead process engineering activities across all project phases (Feasibility, Pre-FEED, FEED, Detailed Engineering, commissioning).
  • Define and validate process concepts, equipment selection, operating strategies, and commissioning approaches to ensure world-class plant performance.
  • Review, approve and accept process calculations, process models, technical specifications, datasheets, control philosophies, and related engineering documentation.
  • Oversee and coordinate the work of third-party engineering consultants.
  • Provide technical expertise to optimize equipment and system performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage planning and execution of new installations, upgrades, and commissioning activities.
  • Coordinate and validate benchmarking studies and integrate best practices into plant operations.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, safety standards and Holcim’s sustainable development objectives.
  • Act as trainer and coach, developing strong process knowledge within plant teams.
  • Collaborate closely with production, maintenance, quality and other stakeholders to align on operational and project objectives.

Requirements

  • Education: Engineering degree (Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, or similar).
  • Experience: Proven experience in cement manufacturing, including kiln operation, process optimization, and automation systems.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of process and controls engineering
    • Experience with project delivery in industrial environments
    • Ability to review and manage complex technical documentation
  • Other Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Project management capabilities
    • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and multicultural teams
  • Languages: English – advanced (written and spoken).
