SUMMARY OF THE JOB
The Market Analyst is responsible for the collection, processing, maintenance, reporting and analysis of Business Intelligence data in Holcim Trading. The position will play a key role in supporting specific growth initiatives of our company while helping us drive sustainability and innovation in construction and trading practices. MAIN ACTIVITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
Data Management:
● Read, screen, analyze raw data coming from various sources on a day to day basis, either quantitative data (flows statistics, customs statistics, port statistics, …) or qualitative
● Conduct relevant research using various sources, from electronic database, websites, and other published sources, using sophisticated search engines, query tools, and other web
technologies
● Set up/maintain/improve our commodities databases, statistics and related news
● Suggest and implement new ideas to make the data management more efficient
● Suggest and contribute to automations of data processing and management
Market Analysis & Strategy:
● Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and opportunities for growth. Utilize findings to develop strategies that align
with the company’s sustainability goals.
Customer Relationship Management:
● Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
Risk Management:
● Evaluate and assess potential risks associated with projects, materials, and market trends.
● Develop mitigation strategies to protect the company from potential setbacks.
Communication & Coordination:
● Lead customer-facing communication efforts, including presentations, client meetings, and social media outreach. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure
customer expectations are met and exceeded.
Sustainability Integration:
● Promote and implement sustainable building practices and materials, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall vision of environmental responsibility and innovation.
PROFILE REQUIRED
Education/ Qualification:
Master’s degree in Management, Entrepreneurship, or equivalent
Experience:
Ideally, 1-2 years of experience in a customer-facing role (B2B or B2C) with international exposure, business development, or sustainability-related projects (internships, part-time roles, or project work are highly valued).
A passion for sustainability, innovation, and helping businesses thrive in a rapidly changing world.
Knowledge and skills:
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with people and build meaningful relationships.
● Public speaking by engaging diverse audiences at high-profile international events, showcasing the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively.
● A proactive and problem-solving mindset, willing to take initiative and think creatively.
● Familiarity with social media platforms (experience in content creation or digital marketing is a plus).
● A fundamental knowledge of the construction industry, sustainability trends, and basic legal frameworks.
● Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively in a diverse and dynamic environment.
Languages:
Excellent English language and Hindi language, written and spoken
Knowledge of at least 2 more languages would be an asset: German, French, Arabic.
