SUMMARY OF THE JOB
The Digital Growth Manager is a key driver in accelerating HT&S’s digital evolution, spearheading transformation and growth initiatives within the international trading and seaborne logistics landscape. This role blends strategic vision with hands-on execution, leveraging expertise in artificial intelligence, CRM/ERP solutions, automation, ETL, and optimization to enhance global trading operations and streamline customer interactions.
Working closely with CFO & Digital Officer and cross-functional teams, you will develop and implement integrated digital strategies that drive innovation, operational efficiency, and market expansion. As a visionary leader, you will optimize business processes, enhance cost efficiencies, and deliver measurable business value through data-driven decision-making and cutting-edge technology solutions.
MAIN ACTIVITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Functional Strategy Formulation: Develop and implement an integrated digital strategy aligned with the organization’s long-term vision. Create cost-effective technology roadmaps and optimize digital assets to drive business value.
- Innovation & Opportunity Identification: Identify emerging digital opportunities and champion agile, customer-centric solutions. Drive benchmarking initiatives and leverage trends to advance the digitalisation of the Trading and shipping industry.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration: Collaborate with Trading, Operations, BI, Finance, IT, and other key departments to enhance the customer experience and ensure digital initiatives align with business priorities. Champion digital training and knowledge-sharing across teams.
- Project & Change Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of digital transformation projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes. Develop robust business cases, manage stakeholder expectations, and secure executive buy-in while staying ahead of industry trends.
PROFILE REQUIRED
Education/ Qualification:
- University degree in Computer Engineering or Information Technology (Bachelor’s or higher).
Experience:
- 10-15 years in digital transformation, IT strategy, or related fields.
- Demonstrated experience in roles that blend digital strategy formulation with hands-on technology implementation, as evidenced by leadership roles at major organizations and startups.
- Track record of executing complex digital projects.
Knowledge and skills:
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in designing scalable cloud and on-premise systems, AI, automation (ETL), and optimization. Expertise in solutions architecture, container orchestration (Kubernetes, RKE2), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and programming languages (especially PHP, ASP.NET, JSP, PYTHON, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Angular)
- Project & Business Leadership: Proven track record in leading digital transformation projects, managing global operations, and driving business growth through strategic and financial insights.
- Innovation & Problem-Solving: Experienced in mentoring teams, implementing agile methodologies, and delivering cost-saving, revenue-enhancing digital solutions.
- Industry Knowledge: Expertise in the digitalization of cement and building materials industries, with familiarity in international trading, seaborne logistics, and regulated sectors.
- Strategic & Adaptive Thinking: Combines creativity with a pragmatic approach, staying ahead of digital trends while effectively bridging technical and non-technical audiences.
Languages:
- Excellent English, written and spoken
- Mastery of at least 1 additional internationally representative language (e.g., Spanish, French, Arabic, etc).
