Reliability Technician

ABOUT THE ROLE
This position reports directly to the Electrical Supervisor. All duties are performed in a work-safe manner; plant safety rules are followed and individual works as a team member. The primary responsibility is to assist in the operation of the plant.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
- Practice and promote safety in such way as including but not limited to; assessing risks before starting tasks, only performing authorized activities, utilizing appropriate PPE.
- Exercise and encourage core values including but not limited to; developing self and coaching others by inspiration and empowerment
- Maintain records of all completed lubrication and inspection assignments and submit daily reports to the Reliability Supervisor.
- Lubrication Routines
- Daily, weekly, monthly PMR’s
- Use of LubeIT Software and Handhelds
- Perform scheduled lubrications using charts and related instructions
- Report all abnormal conditions observed during maintenance inspections to the Reliability Supervisor.
- Maintain clean lubricant storage area and prepare requisitions for additional supplies as required.
- Collect samples of designated lubricating oils for analysis as required.
- Maintenance of automatic lube systems.
- Maintain temperature log books of various gears and bearings.
- Replace / repair grease lines.
- Maintain lubrication equipment such as grease guns, oil pumps, and related hand tools.
- Operate lubrication truck and forklift.
- Perform such other assignments as directed by the Reliability Supervisor.
- Must be willing to work weekends, night shifts, and call-outs as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Required Education: High School diploma/GED or 3 years of equivalent experience.
Additional Education Preferred: Associates/Technical Degree
Field of Study Preferred: Electrical Technology
Required Work Experience: Minimum 3 years industrial maintenance experience.
Travel Requirements: 0-10%

- Must be able to clib stairs and ladders, and work in hot and cold environments.
- Must be able to work in confined areas and not have a fear of heights.

- Communicating problems/situation accurately and clearly and reporting to supervisor in a clear and concise way
- Must be able to meet on-call responsibilities as well as emergency call-out to support 24/7 operations

- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
