ABOUT THE ROLE
The Night Shift Maintenance Lead is responsible for the activity and operations for their specific area.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Schedules and performs preventative maintenance on plant equipment by following the manufacturer’s recommended service intervals and company procedures.
- Maintains an inventory of regularly required replacement parts.
- Inspects condition and operation of plant equipment and performs necessary repairs and adjustments.
- Reports required repairs or other findings to Supervisor.
- Performs required emergency repairs (mechanical and welding as needed) on production equipment required to address plant breakdowns.
- Adheres to all safety, environmental and company policies and procedures in completing daily tasks, and completes all required paperwork in a timely fashion.
- Ensures conformance with policies and procedures, safety regulations, and local, State and Federal laws and regulations.
- Coordinates tasks according to priorities and plans executing daily production plans in the most efficient manner.
- Allocates general and daily responsibilities.
- Coordinates and monitors plant activities to include the maintenance of equipment.
- Supports and assists personnel in achieving timely and efficient production schedules
- Ensures manpower and resources are adequate
- Ensures proper documentation of operations activities in logs and/or incident reports.
- Ensures operators of stationary and mobile equipment are adequately trained to efficiently and safely perform the task.
- Maintains an effective system of communications with supervisors and customers service Acts as a go-to resource for troubleshooting plant malfunctions, SAP and other special needs.
- Willing to work flexible schedule as business needs change.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Required Education: High School diploma/GED

Preferred Training/Certifications: Welding Certificate preferred

Required Work Experience: Minimum of two (4) years’ experience in mechanical repair, installation, and construction in heavy industry. Welding experience required; welding certificate preferred.

Additional Experience (optional): Must have a working knowledge of basic electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems as well as the use of all shop equipment such as welding and machining equipment.

Required Computer and Software Skills: Basic computer skills and ability to learn company software.

- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
