ABOUT THE ROLE
Responsible for full administrative side of construction projects to include managing all budgetary and finanical aspects related to the project, managing client and project team relationships, mentoring of team members and are utimately reponsible for deliverable to the client.
WHAT YOU'll BE DOING

- Reports directly to Area Operations Manager
- Manage, delegate and work with Field Engineers and Project Managers on project tasks
- Manage and assist in generation and review of submittals required for projects, including any re-submittal corrections
- Thoroughly review plans and specifications for projects to determine project needs and educate the PM staff and all project personnel on specific requirements of the projects
- Manage issuing of purchase orders from the estimates and quotes that are put together during the bidding phase
- Manage and assist in maintaining project documentation and files in an organized and consistent format with a common repository
- Will work with sub-contractors as required on scheduling requirements, dispute resolution and sub-pay app requirements
- Manage project schedule updates; work with the PM team and Superintendents to update schedules as required by project owners
- Work with the PM team to ensure progress quantities are updated on a regular basis into the company accounting system. This will provide more timely and accurate job cost reports and will make the calculation of the monthly over/under billings accurate for financial statements.
- Review weekly Job Cost reports with the project team and manage the costs of the project to align with established budget
- Manage and assist in generating project change orders, working with the Estimators to identify budget costs, work with Controller to get change orders into the accounting system, and communicate budgets to the field personnel in a timely manner
- Manage and assist in generating pay requests and review them with Project Superintendents and owners prior to submittal to ensure that the pay request, as submitted, will be approved without necessary re-submittal.
- Work with Finance team on getting the pay estimates and subcontractor pay estimates into accounting system monthly
- Communicate with General Superintendent and/or Project Superintendents on all project requirements
- Mentor and train Field Engineers, Project Manager’s, and Project Foreman on all project management systems currently in place
- Attend weekly project progress meetings with project team (owners / owner’s reps.)
- Work with the accounting department and Cost Analyst on any project related financial items (budgets, purchase orders, payments to subs, payments from owners or GC’s, etc.)
- Manage and assist in the close-out of projects ensuring that all required documentation and forms are submitted for timely close out. This will require good communication with the estimating department to make sure that any “as-builts” are completed in a timely manner and contain all required data that is specified by the engineer
- Manage permitting related to projects, to include: SWMP, Dewatering, Dust Permits, Demolition Permits, Traffic Control, etc
- Will manage PM department personnel, to include: evaluations, scheduling, company program and policy enforcement, safety program adherence and enforcement, hiring, layoffs, dismissals, and promotions
- Travel to projects throughout Colorado with some overnight stays possible
WHAT WE ARE LOOKNG FOR
Education: Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or Technolofy, Project Management or related field is required or 7 plus years of equivalent experience in Construction Project Management or similar role.
Travel Requirements: Will be required to drive throughout Colorado, in all seasons, to evaluate project sites and attend meetings.

Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
