ABOUT THE ROLE
The IT Vendor Project Management Manager manages vendor relationships with strategic partners in particular and IT vendors in general with the objective of creating group synergies and improving contract efficiencies.  He/she should have a very good understanding of offshoring, outsourcing and insourcing, IT services (cloud), Service Management, and SW licensing and should be able to guide the group at various stages on decisions regarding projects and operations.

 

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Coordinate with Enterprise Architecture/Applications/Infrastructure/Procurement/Legal teams and prospective vendors
  • Ensure that contracts align with the business and offer good value for money
  • Manage contracts throughout their lifecycle, including all changes and variations
  • Manage effectively all requirements of external consultants, their compliance in terms of local regulations, and also Holcim’s health and safety directives
  • Define vendor improvement plans, plan for continuous improvements, manage disputes, and ensure resolution.
  • Manage vendor performance score carding (deliver & service level agreements) and ensure contractual obligations are met.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Education: Bachelor's degree or 10 years of IT vendor management or IT procurement equivalent experience
Additional Education Preferred: Master's degree
Field of Study Preferred:  Science/engineering/business management or related discipline with an IT focus.

Required Work Experience: 5+ years of IT vendor management or IT procurement experience.
Required Computer and Software Skills:  Proficient/Advanced skills in MS Office; specifically Excel and PPT, Google Mail & Drive.  Basic SAP knowledge or equivalent 
Travel Requirements: 25%

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Excellent English (written& spoken) – Spanish is a plus
  • Project management leadership skills and the ability to handle multiple projects at the same time.
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic, ambiguous, and newly forming organization.
  • Strong negotiation capability; ability to develop and manage complex agreements. Familiarity with contract structures, basic legal terms, and legal drafting.
  • Ability to lead and drive cross-functional teams, build relationships, and command respect. 
  • Strong analytical and execution skills with an understanding of key cost drivers within the supply chains.
  • Excellent category knowledge (markets, usage, TCO etc.).
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
