ABOUT THE ROLE
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for pro-active selling to specific customer segments, administration of key sales systems and processes and providing sales support to the Territory Managers in the Market Area. The Inside Sales Representative works closely with his/her fellow Territory Manager’s, Market Analyst, Plant Managers, Materials Performance (Quality), Dispatch/Order Takers and Credit & Collections personnel. Inside Sales Representative coordinates closely with other product line personnel to ensure effective customer and market coordination.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
- Pro-Active Selling:
- Inside Sales Representative will have accountability for defined customer segments with detailed budgets and objectives
- They will sell to existing customers and develop new customers
- They will develop a deep understanding of customers’ product and business requirements
- They will translate the current and unmet needs of customers into sales opportunities and provide recommendations of appropriate product and service offerings
- Sales Administration: The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for the following:
- Small and medium sized project quotation
- Systematic pricing (Quote set-up, maintain price lists / item pricing)
- Ticket editing and error resolution prior to invoicing
- Customer communications (annual price letters, new customer welcome, holiday greetings, hours of operation)
- General inquiries (ie. products, sources, pricing, end-use/application assistance)
- Procurement of Tax exempt certificates
- Territory Manager Support: The Inside Sales Representative will work closely with the Territory Managers by assisting with the following:
- Customer inquiries and complaint resolution
- Quote entry and transmission to customers (not all quotes, on an exception basis only)
- Credit & collections coordination/support where applicable
- Review of sales transactions for accuracy and error resolution (not all errors, on an exception basis only)

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Education: High school diploma or equivalent experience.
Additional Education Preferred: Associate's degree
Field of Study Preferred: Business
Required Work Experience: a minimum of 3 years of experience in construction materials or a related industry
Licenses Preferred: Valid driver’s license
Required Computer and Software Skills: Advanced computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and SAP experience. Sales-force a plus
Travel Requirements: Some travel within the region required

- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
