ABOUT THE ROLE
To manage and operate the production shifts and control room so that all disciplines operate as one cohesive unit. Oversee equipment optimization, utilization and reliability in a safe manner while maintaining environmental compliance, quality and budgeted costs. Supervise the daily activities of Production Assisant.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
● Effectively supervise, direct, and coach Production Assitant.
● The short and mid-term scheduling and supervision of the plant production while maintaining quality, environmental, and safety are the prime tasks.
● The incumbent is responsible to monitor the performance relative to the plant production parameters and targets.
● Knowledgeable in all facets of operation in the cement plant while demonstrating competence in all aspects of control room operation.
● Assesses the performance of their direct reports through regular discussions, objectives, mid-year, and year-end performance reviews.
● Incumbents will be required to successfully complete the Operator training program, in which, will include travel requirements.
● Working with the Area Leaders to oversee the development of equipment checklists / inspections, production training and standard operating procedures.
● Maintains a working relationship with other departments so that all aspects of the operation pertaining to the Operations Department are dovetailed in a logical and smooth fashion.
● Must be able to operate PC’s, operation, and process computers.
● Must keep a running log of the shifts activities. This is to include equipment down time and reasons, quality information, and a general report of the shifts operation.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Education: Associate's degree
Additional Education Preferred: Bachelor's degree
Required Work Experience: Minimum of 3 plus years experience in cement or closely related industry in capacity of Control Room Operator, Production Supervisor or equivalent.
Required Training/Certifications: Must be willing to complete CRO certification program
Required Computer and Software Skills: Strong computer skills in order to operate effectively with company systems and programs; knowledge of SAP and Microsoft office.

- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
