ABOUT THE ROLE                  

This position is based out of our Thackerville Plant. This position is primarily responsible for providing timely and accurate tickets to customers, ensuring the smooth flow of traffic across the scale. It also assists in coordinating truck dispatch orders to ensure maximum trucking efficiency.

 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING                          

  • Coordinates truck dispatch to jobs with orders received from the Dispatch office and operates a computer to produce appropriate customer tickets.  Verifies tickets for numbers, date, and time accuracy.
  • Sends transaction register and ticket copies to the primary office daily. Transfers all files and ticket transfer files at least twice daily.
  • Answers phones and takes accurate messages
  • Tares trucsk (empty weight) weekly, and records as appropriate.  Maintains accurate records of tons sold by product.
  • Maintains product knowledge necessary to answer customer questions.  Performs housekeeping duties to ensure that the scale house is clean and orderly.
  • Provides leadership and/or guidance to less experienced laborers on more complex assignments; may train new employees
  • Must be able to climb ladders, lift occasionally 50lbs, and work in dusty, hot/cold environments
  • Must be willing to learn to operate all plant equipment and cross-train for various positions
  • Other duties as assigned         


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR       

  • Required Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Required Work Experience: 2 years 
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, ability to use hand and power tools
  • Knowledge of company processes and procedures
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
  • Able to prioritize work
  • Valid driver’s license

  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
