ABOUT THE ROLE                                 

Holcim US is hiring a full-time Courier for its DFW area. The courier will be based at the McKinney Plant and will travel to multiple different plants within the DFW area on a daily basis. 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING                          

As guided and directed by the Office Manager, the responsibilities of this position include:

• Responsible for making pickups and deliveries of shipments to and from facilities and work sites for expedited shipments; good communication must be maintained with other regional and corporate personnel to ensure timely transportation of pickups and deliveries; presents a positive image of Holcim to the public through thorough professional, cooperative, respectful and consistent service to all callers and visitors
• Provides excellent customer service to employees as well as external vendors and visitors
• Ensures compliance with all local office security guidelines by registering visitors and recording arrivals/departures, etc
• Ensure that deliveries are timely
• Ensure that safety, compliance, and environmental requirements are followed in the delivery of shipments
• Communicates and coordinates pickup and delivery activity for shipments with regional and corporate personnel; plans, schedules, and prioritizes local pickups and deliveries with respect to the time-sensitivity of each and distances to be traveled; makes scheduled and non-scheduled pickups and deliveries; necessary paperwork is processed for shipments handled
• Develop and maintain a working knowledge of new and existing businesses to effectively function in the field regarding proper delivery and pickups; ability to proactively identify errors and omissions in deliveries/ pickups to eliminate redundancy in required stops; communicate effectively and professionally with staff
• Overtime / on-call will be required to accommodate emergencies and facilitate changing schedules; performs and/or schedules preventative and regular minor maintenance on company delivery vehicle (fuel, fluid levels, tires, etc.), and keeps accurate maintenance records; advises supervisor when repairs or extensive maintenance are required for the company vehicle
• Other duties as assigned         

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR       

• High School diploma or equivalent
• At least a class C driver’s license
• Acceptable driving record
• Minimum of 1-year experience performing courier duties
• Excellent oral and written communication skills along with the ability to effectively interact well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as with the public
• Detail oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
• Able to prioritize work
• Strong organization skills
• Must pass physical and drug test

• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
