As Head of Logistics - Building Systems Europe, you will lead the logistics strategy and transformation agenda across Holcim’s Building Systems activities, including mortar, roofing, walling systems, insulation and related businesses.
Based in Duisburg, Germany, this role will focus on building a more integrated, efficient and scalable logistics model across Europe, while respecting the specific needs of each business, product flow, customer promise and local market.
You will work closely with Building Systems leadership, Group Logistics, country teams, operations, commercial, procurement and finance to identify synergies, optimize the network, improve service reliability and reduce cost-to-serve.
Key Responsibilities

Define and deploy the logistics roadmap for Building Systems Europe, aligned with business priorities and Group Logistics.

Identify and deliver logistics synergies across businesses, countries and newly acquired companies.

Optimize transport, distribution, warehousing, depot strategy, routes and cross-border flows.

Improve logistics performance, including cost-to-serve, OTIF, utilization, service reliability and customer delivery.

Partner with Procurement to strengthen carrier management, transport sourcing and supplier performance.

Support logistics integration of newly acquired businesses into Holcim standards and governance.

Improve logistics data visibility, dashboards, analytics and performance management routines.

Embed safety, compliance and sustainability into logistics decisions and operations.

Lead through influence across a decentralized organization, coaching teams and scaling best practices.
What We Are Looking For
-
10+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, transport, distribution or operations.

Experience in industrial, building materials, construction products or manufacturing environments.

Strong expertise in network optimization, transport performance, cost improvement and operational transformation.

Experience in multi-business transformation, synergy delivery or post-acquisition integration is a strong advantage.

Good understanding of transport, warehousing, dispatching, customer delivery and carrier management.

Ability to turn logistics data into practical actions and measurable business impact.

Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence across countries, functions and cultures.

Strategic mindset combined with a very hands-on execution approach.

Fluent English is required; German is strongly preferred. Other European languages are an advantage.

Willingness to travel across Europe, up to 40-50%.
