Holcim announced in September 2020 the Net Zero Pledge, i.e. meet the 1.5°C target in alignment with SBTi. CO2 Capture is an important leg of this journey. We have to further develop various Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (CCUS) technologies with the objective of having economically viable solutions at industrial scale by 2030. CCUS plays an important role with more than 50 projects being worked on currently and still increasing. Holcim is not focusing on a single technology and solution; the scope is broad with collaboration between local, regional and corporate level. In order to develop and manage CCUS projects and give best support to the countries in integrating new technologies & concepts in the cement manufacturing environment, technical activities need to be coordinated amongst various players.

 

 

  • Act as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) from corporate CCUS organization to allocated CCUS projects 

  • Participate in project steering committee as advisor for design decisions

  • Align CCUS project execution approach, ensure synergies and knowledge exchange among projects

  • Closely manage allocated projects and ensure they are delivered with technical and commercial excellence

  • Lead the development of Net Zero and CCUS project business cases, consisting of technical descriptions, technology reviews, business models, costs and payback modeling for executive review and approval

  • Interface with Head of Capture Technology, Head of CCUS Transport, Head of CCUS Storage, and Head of CCUS Concepts to ensure projects are incorporating latest (and value adding) developments in the fast evolving CCUS domain

  • Coordinate information requests and data exchanges through the project development phases, ensure learnings are captured and disseminated in a structured nature

  • Prepare and deliver all project reporting and presentations, including planning and progress reports, management reports and executive summaries

  • Represent Holcim across various platforms and working with a wide array of stakeholders in a positive way that demonstrates our Company values and practices

  • Represent corporate CCUS team in different Holcim projects, in meetings and/or conferences, share knowledge and best practices

 

Education/Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Chemical Process Engineering or equivalent technical Master’s degree

  • Additional business certificate is a plus

 

Experience

 

  • Technical leadership in project development, project scoping and project evaluations

  • Experience working in multicultural and multi-disciplinary environments

  • Project development background in Oil & Gas, petrochemical industries or similar

Language requirements

 

  • Fluency in English (oral and written)

  • Any other language is a plus

 

Travel requirements

Up to 40%.

 

Visa requirements
