Role Overview
Holcim announced in 2025 the NextGen Growth 2030 strategy with the vision to be the leading partner for sustainable construction and creating superior value for people, customers and shareholders. The main four pillars of the strategy are focused investment in attractive markets, sustainability driving profitable growth, expanding high-value building solutions as well as a performance culture and value creation. Part of the sustainability targets are tripling volumes of recycled material base 2024 (20+Mt of construction demolition material), reducing scope emissions below 400 kg/t cementitious as well as reducing 33% of freshwater withdrawal. We have to further develop various technologies with
the objective of having 2030 economically viable solutions at industrial scale and producing low/no CO2 products. In order
to develop and manage disruptive technologies and give best support to the countries in integrating new technologies in
the cement manufacturing environment, technical activities need to be coordinated amongst various players.
Main responsibilities
- Developing or scouting disruptive ideas and concepts in the field of cement manufacturing with a focus on thermal process technologies, combustion and energy management; mainly open innovation, partially own development.
- Designing thermal processes from ideas via lab testing to successful commissioning of demonstrators
- Developing, implementing and driving tests, prototypes and pilot plants together with Group companies
- Coordination of various stakeholders and partners at global level in the field of process innovation projects, internal as well as external (academia, suppliers etc) while also ensuring interface to upstream and downstream processes
- Developing future knowledge for the Holcim group
- Coaching and empowering project teams in the countries and regions in order to drive process innovation within their projects or studies.
- Represent the Process Innovation team in different Holcim projects, in meetings and/or conferences, share, spread out knowledge and best practices
Profile required
1 - Technical / functional skills:
- Technical leadership in traditional and alternative combustion technologies, understanding mineralogical clinker phases is an asset
- Experience working in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environments
- Experience in an innovation environment is an asset

Education / Qualification
- Bachelor or Master degree in engineering, preferably in Chemical Process Engineering or equivalent technical masters degree
- Additional business certificate is a plus
Language Requirements
- Fluency in English (oral and written)
- Any other language is a plus
Mobility requirements
- Up to 30% travelling internationally
