Overview 

We are a fast paced production environment seeking a Maintenance Personel interested in continuous hands-on learning opportunities with manufacturing systems and skills. Must be self-driven. Should enjoy the autonomy and responsibility of off-shift work with a tight-knit set of co-workers. Multi-tasking and juggling priorities is a daily routine and with that comes a need for sound judgment.

 

Responsibilities

  • Process sales orders

  • Process and manage payments to haulers

  • Run reports as required for the Superintendent and Operation Manager

  • Answer incoming calls

  • General office duties as required

  • Process PO’s and receive goods for consumable or maintenance items

  • Working with yard-staff (equipment operator) to organize the yard in an effective manner

  • Basic maintenance related to the plant

  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

Education

  • High School diploma

  • Registered apprentice /Journeyman is an asset

 

Experience

  • Mechanical aptitude (basic maintenance skills)

  • Proficiency with MS Office

  • Knowledge of precast or concrete products an asset

  • Excellent telephone manner

  • Able to establish and maintain effective working relations with other staff, truckers and customers

  • Able to work under pressure with fluid deadlines and changing circumstances

  • Self-starter, willing to do work outside job description as required

  • High level of time management and task prioritization skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication and teamwork/interpersonal skills
