Lafarge Construction Edmonton is looking for a Class 1 Equipment Hauling Driver to join our team.
 

Responsibilities

  • Loading, chaining down and transporting equipment on a low boy.
  • Hot asphalt oil hauling. Hauling Super B trailers.
  • Mostly local hauls and some hauls to southern Alberta.
  • Loading and unloading of hot asphalt oil.
  • Plan travel schedules and routes 
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatcher
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspection tires, lights, breaks, cold storage and other equipment

 

Qualifications

  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Tractor Trailer; Flatbed experience

 

Working Conditions

  • Winter months will be 10 hours days Monday - Saturday.
  • Summer months will be 10 - 12 hours /day. 12 days on, 2 days off.
  • Local 955 Operator Engineers union.

 

Documentation Knowledge

  • Driver Logbook; Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip); Maintencance and repair reports; Trip reports; Accident or incident reports
