Overview

As a Concrete Batch Plant Operator, you will play a pivotal role in the concrete production process by overseeing and managing the operation of batching equipment. Your precision and attention to detail will contribute to the delivery of high-quality concrete mixes, ensuring they meet project specifications. This position requires a skilled individual with a strong understanding of concrete production, equipment operation, and a commitment to maintaining consistent quality standards.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Batching Operation

  • Operate and oversee the concrete batching equipment to accurately proportion and mix various concrete components according to project specifications.
  • Monitor computerized systems to ensure precise measurements and adherence to mix design.

 

Quality Control:

  • Conduct regular quality control checks on raw materials, ensuring they meet established standards.
  • Adjust batching processes as needed to maintain consistent concrete quality.

 

Equipment Maintenance:

  • Perform routine maintenance on batching equipment to ensure its optimal functioning.
  • Troubleshoot and address any equipment malfunctions promptly.
  • Coordinate with Production Team:
  • Collaborate with production and delivery teams to schedule concrete production based on project requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to address specific mix design needs.

 

Recordkeeping and Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of production volumes, materials used, and batch adjustments.
  • Complete required paperwork and reports in a timely and organized manner.
  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper handling and storage of raw materials.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and industry standards.

 

Qualification

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Concrete Batch Plant Operator or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of concrete production processes, mix designs, and material properties.
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot batching equipment effectively.
  • Knowledge of quality control procedures and practices.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Good communication skills to coordinate with team members.
  • Commitment to safety and environmental regulations.
  • Familiarity with computerized batching systems is a plus.
