Lafarge, one of Canada’s leading suppliers of ready mix concrete has a requirement for Volumetric Concrete truck drivers for the Hamilton, Niagara, area for the upcoming construction season. These positions will be defined as part-time seasonal and could possibly become full-time if work load warrants it; some locations operate all year round.

Hourly with pension and benefits

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Safe operation of a Volumetric Concrete Truck delivering concrete to customers in a timely manner.
  • Follows and ensures full compliance with Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Up keep of truck appearance, assist with light maintenance around the Concrete plant 
  • Paperwork – circle checks, delivery ticket information.

 Qualifications:

  • Educational Background : Grade 12 diploma
  • Experience:
  • A clean driving record.
  • DZ Ontario Driving License
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in the trucking industry preferred
  • Training will be provided for operating the Volumetric Concrete truck.
  • Physical Attributes:
  • Lifting, carrying, climbing, bending, reaching, push/pull, gripping, squatting, etc.
