The Opportunity

 

Cardinal Concrete, a division of Lafarge Canada, is the leading supplier of ready-mix concrete in the Sea to Sky Corridor. We are currently seeking a Concrete Pump Operator to join our team.

To be successful, you will thrive in a fast paced, customer oriented environment, and take pride in being responsible for safely operating and maintaining ready mix concrete pump equipment.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Adhere to all Lafarge safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Operation of pump truck
  • Maintain equipment by doing daily Pre and Post trip inspections, have a good sense of accountability to keep equipment clean inside and out.

 

Qualifications

 

 

  • Certified Pump Operator 
  • Must have current & valid Class 1 or 3 Driver’s License with air brake endorsement.
  • Must have clean driving record as evidenced by current Drivers Abstract.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience with concrete boom pumps and line pumps
  • Have a flexible schedule.  This position may require an individual to work different shifts as well be available most weekends.
  • Must be safety conscious, critical thinker and physically fit - Able to lift >50lbs.
  • Must have good depth perception, manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination and awareness for surroundings
  • Must be a very strong team player with a positive attitude

 

 

Wage: $38 per hour

 

Incentives: in off season operator will have the opportunity to continue to work in various position in operations and heavy equipment.
