Engineer - Mechanical Maintenance Planning

Job Purpose

Apply maintenance methodology, defining operational steps, manpower, spares and other resources necessary to achieve efficient and safe maintenance in line with technical standards and Manage and improve the use of management tools, procedures and methodologies for maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

1-Health & Safety:

  • Adhere to and enforce relevant legislation, as well as the Company's HSE Policies, Rules, and Standards.
  • Ensure the highest degree of safety and safe working practices are maintained at all times.
  • Follow all HSE Procedures, both Management and Operational.
  • Commit to gain all HSE competencies and capabilities relevant to the job role, as outlined in the country HSE training matrix (mandatory for the position or required based on the individual's activities).

2-Functional:

  • Implement MAC-SAP & preventive/predictive maintenance Module.
  • Maintain number of work order & notification and Backlog,
  • Prioritize the notifications received from condition monitoring department and other creators and issue the corresponding corrective maintenance order,
  • Participate in RCA meeting of repetitive long time failures and plan for the execution of the corrective actions,
  • Participate in FMEA implementation.
  • Weekly scheduling and Shutdown
  • Prepare and optimize of the weekly workload balancing.
  • Lead the preparation and consolidation of the shutdown Planning (Personnel, Spares, Third party services, Tools, Equipment, Time and Critical Path).
  • Monitor and follow up tasks defined in Major shutdown on a daily basis.
  • Continuous improvement leads after action review for shutdown or mayor repairs.
  • Budgeting, Inventory and Cost control
  • Communication with procurement and Monitoring delivery spare part
  • Control the inventory Level Versus the guide value.
  • Generate purchase requisitions as well as third party service contracts requisitions for major shutdowns and ensure that all required materials and service will be delivered on time.
  • CAPEX Requisition and Plan
  • Contribute to planning and purchasing of CAPEX and third party services: identify needs, provide technical requirements, support tendering, and provide input for supplier qualification and evaluation.
  • Monitor / Recording equipment replacement and Equipment condition
  • Improvement / modification mechanical equipment to achieve maintenance target
  • Reporting and maintenance history
  • Reporting for the maintenance budget VS the actual cost on monthly basis
  • Lead the weekly KPIs follow up meeting as well as work scheduling confirmation for the following week.

 

 

Education,

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

BSC degree in Mechanical Engineering

 

Technical Skills:

Technical Reporting, Cement Background, good planning skills, good knowledge of maintenance operations, analytical skills, technical knowledge of preventive, predictive and systematic maintenance (databases, CMMS, Project Software), Computer literacy

 

Experience:

  • 1-3 years’ experience in Cement or construction materials industry.
  • At least 1-year experience in Preventative Maintenance.
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office & SAP is a must.
