Geocycle Maintenance Site Supervisor

Job Purpose

To operate the plant within the pre-defined targets and ranges by continuously monitoring all the plant processes using all available tools to ensure employees safety, stable equipment operation, equipment integrity, product quality within prescribed equipment design limitations and a combination of production, Maintenance, process and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities:

  • Health & Safety:


  • Adhere to and enforce relevant legislation and policies and ensure that highest degree of safety and safe working practices are maintained.

  • Communicating, improving, and enforcing safety standards in all work environments and areas, acting as a role model and Manage PPEs stock.

  • Inspect Mobile equipment safety standards and the Firefighting system readiness


  • Functional:


  • Supervise and coordinate all daily maintenance activities to ensure the safe, reliable, and continuous operation of the platform.

  • Manage spare parts inventory and ensure the timely availability of critical components to maximize equipment uptime.

  • Monitor equipment performance, diagnose faults, and implement corrective and preventive maintenance actions to minimize downtime.

  • Ensure the efficient operation and reliability of the biomass screening system through routine inspections, maintenance, and performance monitoring.

  • Oversee maintenance activities for the shredding line, ensuring optimal performance and operational efficiency of all equipment.

  • Track process parameters and equipment downtime, conduct root cause analysis (RCA), and implement improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability and productivity.

  • Maintain high housekeeping standards across the platform in compliance with safety and operational requirements.

  • Collect, analyze, and maintain accurate maintenance and operational records, including daily logs, reports, and performance data.

  • Ensure full compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintenance standards, and company policies.

  • Develop and implement Risk Assessments and Safe Work Instructions (SWIs) to support safe execution of maintenance activities and newly introduced tasks.

  • Supervise workforce attendance and optimize manpower allocation to ensure efficient execution of maintenance schedules.

  • Ensure proper isolation procedures, and safety barriers are implemented before and during maintenance activities.

  • Monitor and maintain fire detection, prevention, and protection systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational readiness.

  • Monitor and manage stockpile aeration and temperature control systems to ensure safe storage conditions and mitigate fire risks. 

  • Oversee stockpile aeration and temperature monitoring systems to prevent fire risks and ensure safe material storage.

  • Inspect, receive, and verify spare parts and maintenance materials, ensuring compliance with quality and technical specifications.

  • Coordinate material flow systems and maintenance requirements to support uninterrupted operations and eliminate process bottlenecks.

  • Collaborate closely with operations teams to ensure equipment reliability, maximize operational efficiency, and achieve targeted performance levels.

Education, Qualifications & Experience


Education:  

Bachelor’s Degree


Technical Skills 

Production operations, Basics of computer skills (Microsoft office), Good command of English Language


Experience: 

5 - 7 Years of similar role with good knowledge of digital panels and control units of RDF preprocessing
