HERACLES Group, Greece's leading company in the field of building materials and a member of HOLCIM, is seeking a dynamic Mechanical Engineer to join our New Works & Capex Team, based at our Volos plant.

 

Role & Key Accountabilities

The purpose of the role is to coordinate and supervise mechanical engineering projects, from technical design through to execution, ensuring the timely and successful delivery of new works at our Volos plant.

  • Preparation, study of technical proposals/improvements in collaboration with the maintenance, production, process and environment departments. 

  • Conducting small-scale studies to address technical issues and design of new facilities. 

  • Preparation of technical descriptions and calls for tenders. 

  • Supervision of new works projects, management of contractors. 

  • Control and evaluation of intervention in mechanical installations. 

  • Monitoring of the relevant budget and time schedules. 

  • Preparation of relevant reports and documentation for the delivery of the finished projects. 

 

Qualifications & Skills

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Postgraduate studies (MSc) or MBA will be considered a plus.

  • At least 5 years' experience in an engineering project management/supervision or maintenance of mechanical equipment in industry or construction sites. 

  • Previous experience in large industries or engineering projects of construction companies will be highly appreciated. 

  • Excellent command of the English language. 

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD. Knowledge of 3d CAD software (i.e. Revit, Navisworks, Tekla) will be considered a plus

  • Leadership skills and ability to manage teams effectively. 

  • Analytical and organizational skills, responsibility, focus on results.
