About the job

Ensure mechanical maintenance and repairs are done on plant equipment according to maintenance schedules to facilitate smooth operations.

What you'll be doing 

• Carries out Mechanical maintenance on plant equipment (Belt) as per schedule using job plans taking into consideration all safety precaution
• Repair of mechanical equipment (Belt) on breakdown.
• Carryout mechanical repair (Belt) at any time of the day when called upon by superiors.
• Reports, through breakdown reports to superiors on causes of breakdown remedy done and spares used.
• Ensures good and correct use of tools.
• Ensures place of work is left clean after repair/maintenance tasks.
• Follow and respect on call / shift system according to the plant rules
• Be discipline and respectable in the eyes of your peers.
• Comply with EMS Mechanical Instrumentation activities
• Ensure involvement in the implementation and maintenance of integrated management system in the plan

• Methods department for preparation, planning and generation of work orders and third party contractors

What we are looking for 

• 2 years’ experience in belt repair and vulcanization
• Other Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
• Trade test I, II, III or City and Guild
• Knowledge of work and safety rules and regulations
• Knowledge of relevant equipment and tools
• Knowledge of belt repair and vulcanization
