About the Job
To execute maintenance schedules; Carryout repairs of plant equipment and to ensure maximum contribution towards the achievement of the required equipment reliability and availability so as to meet the required Maintenance KPI targets for the Plant.
What you'll be doing
- Execute scheduled maintenance
- Maintenance System is followed resulting in high plant availability
- Maintenance planned to occur within given time frames
- Equipment defects identified and reported through notification process
- Relevant data and maintenance history is recorded in Maintenance system
- Repairs in breakdown situations
- Fault identification and timely repair with minimum production stoppage
- Effective Root cause analysis problem solving minimising recurring problems
- Necessary resources coordinated to executive breakdown repair
- Compliance to post repair procedure
- Quality and standard of outsourced work monitored
- Apply technical knowledge to support continuous improvement initiatives
- Regular inspections to determine the condition of all plant
- Opportunities to improve plant functionality identified
- Non scheduled repairs actioned
- Plant modifications executed to meet project requirements
- Ensure safe work practices
- Work is executed in accordance with company safety policies.
- Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided and used
- Equipment is maintained to operate safely
- Equipment is used in a safe manner
- All maintenance is done safely by internal and external persons
- All lockouts and work permits are adhered to
- Maintenance practices comply with all OHS&E legal requirements

What we are looking for
- Qualified with technical qualification (HND, OND, OTHER Technical Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years’ cognate experience in Mechanical Maintenance and Breakdown repairs of mechanical equipment with a good HSE knowledge.
- The Use of SAP and MS office packages
- Knowledge of Cement plant equipment technical specifications and maintenance requirements
- Knowledge in workshop Machines eg, Lathes, Shapers, Millers, drilling machines, Band saws.
- Knowledge in precision measurements.
- Very good knowledge on precision machining.
- Basic knowledge of electric motors.
- Readymix and /or aggregate operating processes and quality product issues
- Maintenance procedures and rotating machine safety.
- Technical drawings interpretation and tolerance fits.
- Good working knowledge of OHS&E procedures and relevant legislation
