About the Job 

The Projects Manager is responsible for overseeing RMX business improvement and business expansion projects. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and technical skills to ensure that projects are completed efficiently, on time, and within budget.

 

What you'll be doing

  • Project Leadership
    • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
    • Coordinate with clients, engineers, architects, and suppliers to ensure all project requirements are met.
    • Ensure that project milestones and deadlines are achieved, adjusting schedules as necessary.

 

  • Project Oversight and Proposal
    • Conduct project’s feasibility including gathering relevant informations and analysis of
      data.
    • Collaborate with relevant stake holders to ensure values are verified and captured 
    • Propose to the business development manager how to initiate such projects

 

  • Process Control and Compliance:
    • Ensure that each development process meets all integrity requirements, and regulatory guidelines. Business contacts are transparent and adhere to competition laws
    • Monitor the adherence to health and safety regulations within the plant and on construction sites.

 

  • Team Management:
    • Project team members may comprise of direct employees and other stakeholders such as contractors , vendors and interdepartmental staffs
    • Provide training and development opportunities to team members to improve performance and ensure efficient operations.
    • Conduct performance reviews and address any staffing issues or concerns.

 

  • Budget and Cost Management:
    • Develop project budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
    • Identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality or timelines.
    • Track project financials, prepare reports, and present updates to senior management.

 

  • Client Interaction and Reporting:
    • Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure project needs and expectations are being met.
    • Address any client concerns, resolve issues, and provide regular updates on project status.
    • Prepare and present detailed progress reports and performance metrics to clients and senior management.

 

  • Risk Management:
    • Identify potential project risks, including delays, quality issues, or cost overruns, and implement mitigation strategies.
    • Address on-site challenges, such as weather conditions, site accessibility, or equipment malfunctions.

 

  • Environmental Sustainability:
    • Ensure the plant operates in compliance with environmental regulations, including waste management, emissions, and sustainability practices.
    • Promote eco-friendly practices such as using recycled materials or energy-efficient processes where possible.

 

  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of production schedules, delivery logs, and quality control reports.
    • Ensure proper documentation for compliance with legal, safety, and environmental standards.

What we are looking for 

  • Bachelor's Degree in any course 
  • 5-7 Years’ working experience in a readymix plant
  • Project Management Skills (Project integration management, Scope management, Schedule management, Cost management, Quality management, Resource management, Communications management, Risk management, Procurement management, Stakeholder management)
  • Good understanding of the business operations, the internal challenges and the external constraints; be aware of the cement operation and be able to assist in troubleshooting & problem solving; his credibility depends upon his ability to be part of the plant team and to relate with other departments.
  • Cross functional knowledge and experience
  • Excellent management skills and ability to organize and plan effectively to meet both short- and long-range goals and objectives.
  • Ability to manage multiple project plans successfully and simultaneously.
  • Ability to motivate individuals and teams
  • Able to coach and direct a diverse team
  • Good aptitude for organization and communication
  • Excellent Team leading skills
