Job Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Supply Chain & Procurement Manager to oversee and manage the Metal category for our organization. This role will be responsible for developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the seamless operation of the supply chain for raw materials. In addition, the role will engage with
internal stakeholders and lead the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process to drive efficiency and mitigate risks. The ideal candidate will also lead projects focused on continuous improvement
and cost reduction, while staying up-to-date on industry trends and emerging applications within the metal category.


ABOUT THE ROLE/WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
• Spend Management and Supplier Management: Oversee and manage the associated spend and supplier relationships for the metal category. Ensure optimal performance from key
suppliers and monitor costs.
• Category and Sourcing Strategy: Develop, maintain, and refine sourcing strategies for the metal category to align with organizational goals and market conditions.
• Negotiation and Contract Management: Lead negotiations and manage the contract process, including supplier briefs, contract redlining, and execution via DocuSign.

• Pricing and Purchase information Records: Own and manage pricing updates for metal raw materials. Ensure purchase info records are consistently updated and local materials management aligns with pricing agreements for purchase orders.
• Plant/Site Coordination: Act as the point of contact for site-specific needs related to supply and suppliers. Expedite raw material shipments and provide support during emergency situations to ensure procurement does not become a bottleneck.
• Internal Stakeholder Management: Serve as the go-to person for questions, issues, and projects relating to the metal category, collaborating with teams such as Supply Chain, Logistics, R&D, Quality, and Operations.
• Claims & Supplier Performance: Actively manage supplier performance, resolving issues with suppliers and ensuring issues are recorded and escalated as needed.
• Invoicing & Vendor Setups: Support local procurement teams with invoicing issues and the setup of new vendors.
• Reporting & Spend Auditing: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop reports and presentations. Regularly audit key supplier invoices to ensure pricing agreements are being honored.
• Procurement Process Support: Guide operations to follow proper procurement processes and ensure adherence to minimum quoting and contract procedures.
• Category Growth Focus: Work closely with the product management team to identify growth opportunities, manage product changes, and oversee new product introductions in the metal category.
• Industry Knowledge: Stay informed on metal industry trends and emerging applications to provide relevant insights and maintain a competitive advantage.


Operational S&OP (Daily):
• Regularly update sales forecasts, production plans, and raw material supply plans based on daily interactions with various functions.
• Monitor inventory forecast levels and identify potential disruptions. Propose and coordinate mitigation plans with stakeholders.
• Ensure proper coordination of inventory control, developing strategies for slow-moving materials and establishing safety stock levels.


Tactical S&OP (Monthly):
• Develop the Master Production Schedule and Vendor Product Purchase Plan, considering sales input, plant capacity, and supplier allocations.
• Track performance against the monthly plan, including production, sales, and purchase plans. Implement corrective actions for any variances.
• Collaborate with the Sales team to manage availability for oversold/undersold forecasts and align plant resources with promotional plans.
• Develop supply and sourcing models to support data-driven decision-making.

• Work with purchasing and plant teams to analyze capacity and address supply chain bottlenecks.
• Plan procurement activities and financial expenditure aligned with operational and marketing requirements.


Projects & Continuous Improvement:
• Lead cross-functional initiatives aimed at reducing costs, improving efficiency, and creating value across the organization.
• Spearhead various projects focused on improving procurement processes, sourcing efficiency, and supply chain resilience.


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum of five years of experience in procurement and supply chain management, with a strong focus on metals and raw materials.
• Proven track record in supplier management, contract negotiation, and developing sourcing strategies.
• Experience with pricing, invoicing, and managing procurement systems.

• Strong understanding of the S&OP process and inventory management techniques.

• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage cross-functional teams and manage internal relationships.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to lead projects and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

• Willingness to travel roughly 30-40% during the year throughout the United States.
