Description: 

The Director of Finance provides overall leadership to the organization by collaborating across the business to drive strategic planning, enhance financial reporting, provide financial insight and analytics to improve overall profitability. The successful candidate will lead, coach and develop a team of finance and accounting professionals, be the right hand to the President of Ox by providing timely and accurate decision support analytics focused on driving improved decision making. The Director of Finance will also provide guidance to other key functions across the business such as Sales, Operations, Pricing, Customer Service, Procurement, Legal, IT, HR, and risk management.

 

ABOUT THE ROLE/WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
 Provides leadership on strategic planning and the direction of the Company to enhance business performance and shareholder value.
 Leads alignment of financial and business strategies.
 Identifies areas of growth, expansion and new profit opportunities
 Leads forecasting and budgeting functions
 Manages the capital budgeting process.
 Conducts integration of financial reporting, SOX internal controls, compliance, and other financial areas with the parent company.
 Drives operation efficiencies and improvements of the business focusing on internal controls, documented and standardized work processes, system enhancements/integrations.
 Assesses the efficiency and effectiveness of financial, IT and procurement operations including overall risk management. Implements necessary changes to support current and future growth in business.
 Leads and directs the organization through SOX implementation and public company reporting requirements.
 Monitors and manages cash flow and cash conversion to support business requirements and strategic plans.
 Determines how to allocate resources to drive growth in EBIT/DA and Free Cash Flow, while managing risk.
 Leads and guides the organization through ERP and digital transformation.
 Collaborates effectively across the organization building strong business relationships to drive business performance.

 Responsible for financial reporting, including compliance with US GAAP, SOX and SEC compliance as necessary.
 Supports with any work related to spinoff of North America business unit to become publicly listed US company.
 Responsible for internal financial and accounting controls including close monitoring of the balance sheet.
 Responsible for providing oversight for general ledger and all related month end closing duties.
 Manages working capital improvements and targets to achieve free cash flow targets.
 Support President by providing financial insight on matters to aid in decision making.
 Hires, trains, supervises, motivates, and develops accounting managers; manages schedules and workflow.
 Builds and sustain a high performing team and provide day-to-day guidance and oversight of subordinates; actively works to promote and recognize performance.
 Drives engagement throughout the organization.
 Keeps up to date on the overall activities of the team, identifying problem areas and taking corrective actions.
 Responsible for adherence to company policies including safety and the use of personal protective equipment.


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
 Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting from an accredited university.
 Proven leadership and managerial experience
 Strong understanding and experience with US GAAP and SOX control frameworks
 Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive Finance experience operating in a performance / results oriented culture.
 Strong understanding of business value drivers such and proven track record of sales, EBITDA and cash flow improvements.
 Good understanding of cost accounting and Manufacturing processes.
 Ability to recommend and direct cost-effective creative solutions.
 Ability to work with all levels within the organization, strong organization skills; ability to managing priorities and workflow.
 Ability to demonstrate excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills including the ability to clearly present recommendations and summarize complex issues.
 Demonstrate both creative and critical thinking skills.
 Solid strategic planning experience at the divisional and corporate level.
 Proven experience handling multiple duties and completing assigned tasks accurately and on a timely basis. 
 Demonstrated strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. 
 Proven experience challenging the status quo and championing new initiatives.  Experience acting as a catalyst for change and stimulating others to change.
 Demonstrated ability to identify, plan and deliver significant process improvements with major financial impact.
 Proficiency with MS Office especially Excel and Powerpoint


Preferred Qualifications:
 MBA and/or CPA highly preferred.
 Experience with SAP or other relevant ERPs
 Experience of planning tools such as SAC, Tagetik, BPC, Hyperion or other relevant systems
 Experience in a global manufacturing organization
