POSITION SUMMARY Summarise in a few lines the major purpose and contribution of the position To ensure that the mixing, inspection and delivery of premixed concrete is carried out in a manner which promotes quality and reliability of the product. MAIN ACTIVITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES Describe the main activities and areas of responsibility of the position Area Activities Safety, Health and Environment ● Maintain a safe system of work in the workplace. Comply with all relevant safety, health and environment legislation. ● Comply with safety policies and have a strong safety awareness. ● Operate in compliance with environmental policies and have an understanding of environmental objectives. ● Actively participate in Safety Improvement Team meetings. ● Operate in accordance with traffic regulations both on and off the road. ● To wear appropriate PPE where directed. Company Policies ● Adhere to all company policies, procedures and work instructions and drivers’ instructions. Financial Control ● To collect CODs when applicable. Customer Focus ● To have a high standard of customer service by: ● Understanding the customers’ needs ● Having a positive attitude ● Acting with courtesy to customers ● Having a high standard of presentation of company clothing. Quality Assurance ● Comply with QA responsibilities and have an understanding of the plant’s quality system and work Instructions. Maintenance ● Regular maintenance of trucks and plant as directed by the production supervisor: ● Daily Operator Checklist to be completed ● Ensure a high standard of truck and mixer cleanliness including internal bowl cleanliness. ● Undertake regular housekeeping activities. ● Assist with yard duties and perform various tasks as directed. Production Control ● Ensure consistent high quality of product through: ● Inspection of concrete in the mixer to ensure conformance to the nominated specification. ● Ensuring slump of each load is within tolerance. Workers Compensation ● Comply with offered suitable duties and return to work obligations. Other Duties ● Duties may be varied from time to time consistent with the employee’s training and skills and such varied duties are to be performed to standards that will be specified as required.
