Role Overview
Are you a visionary engineering leader ready to transform asset reliability, drive zero-harm safety, and steer cutting-edge decarbonization and CAPEX projects? Join Holcim Česko as a Maintenance Manager to lead our Čížkovice plant's long-term technical strategy, modernize asset management culture, and optimize operational performance.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Drive Long-Term Strategy & Culture: Define and execute the plant’s strategic asset management roadmap, transforming operations from reactive maintenance to a proactive, predictive, data-driven reliability culture.
- Lead CAPEX & Decarbonization: Plan and execute capital expenditure projects, modernization, equipment overhauls, and sustainability/decarbonization initiatives on time and within budget.
- Ensure Zero-Harm Safety & Compliance: Guarantee strict compliance with statutory laws, local building codes, environmental regulations, ISO standards, and Holcim’s Cement Industrial Framework (iCIF).
- Optimize Asset Reliability & Performance: Oversee daily, annual, and multi-year shutdown plans using SAP (PM/PS) and predictive maintenance tools (CbM, IoT) to maximize equipment availability and MTBF.
- Manage Budgets & Working Capital: Control plant OPEX and CAPEX budgets, streamline procurement, manage third-party contractors, and optimize spare parts inventory strategies (FMEA/RCA).
- Develop High-Performing Teams: Empower and mentor maintenance and engineering talent, implementing individual development plans (IDPs) and building a robust succession pipeline.
Your Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- Education: Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical field.
- Experience: Minimum 8–10 years in heavy industry (cement preferred), with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role such as Maintenance Manager, Capital Investment Manager, or Technical Director.
- Leadership & Change Management: Proven track record in organizational culture transformation, team empowerment, and negotiating with statutory/regulatory bodies.
- Technical & System Expertise: Proficient in SAP (PM, MM, PS), TIS, Microsoft Office/Google Workspace, with solid knowledge of CbM, RCA, and FMEA frameworks.
- Certifications: Project Management (PMA, PRINCE2) or Condition Monitoring certifications, and SMRP/professional chamber memberships are highly desirable.
- Language Skills: Fluent Czech/Slovak alongside advanced English (B2/C1).
- Flexibility: Stress resilience and readiness to travel with flexible working hours to support critical plant operations.
