We are looking for a Chief Financial Officer to lead the finance agenda across Austria and Slovenia and act as an equal sparring partner to the CEO in the strategic and operational steering of the business.
This is a senior leadership role combining financial governance, business partnering, performance management, capital allocation and transformation in a capital- and energy-intensive industrial environment.
As CFO Austria & Slovenia, you will safeguard the financial integrity of both legal entities, steer earnings, cash and capital allocation, and ensure strong alignment with Holcim Group standards, reporting cycles and governance frameworks.
You will work closely with the CEO, plant managers, commercial teams and Group stakeholders to strengthen cost discipline, support investment decisions, drive finance digitalisation and provide financial leadership to the decarbonisation agenda.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the finance organization across Austria and Slovenia

Own accounting, closing, statutory reporting and Group reporting

Drive budgeting, forecasting, controlling and performance management

Strengthen industrial controlling, cost discipline and business steering

Lead capital allocation, capex governance and investment controlling

Support decarbonisation projects through robust financial modelling and business cases

Oversee treasury, working capital, tax, transfer pricing, risk management and internal controls

Drive finance digitalisation, automation and data-driven reporting

Build finance capabilities, succession pipelines and future-ready ways of working
We’re looking for
-
Degree in business administration, economics, finance or controlling (professional certification or MBA an advantage)

10+ years of experience in finance, including 5+ years in a leadership role

Strong experience in industrial controlling, performance management and capital-intensive environments

Background in manufacturing or energy-intensive industries; cement, building materials, steel, glass, lime or paper is a strong advantage

Experience in an international matrix organization with Group reporting and standardized processes

Strong command of Austrian GAAP, IFRS, accounting, controlling, tax and internal control frameworks

Strong SAP / ERP, reporting automation and data analysis skills

Business fluency in German and English is a must
