Holcim Building Envelope, a leading international manufacturer and supplier of a comprehensive product portfolio for commercial building performance solutions, is currently looking for a skilled Machine Operator to work out of our Anoka, MN facility. This is a full-time 2nd shift position, Monday - Thursday 2:45 pm - 1:00 am, weekends as necessary.  $23.89/hour + $1.00/hour shift differential

 

  • Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
  • Ability to enter in required information / program machine for operation.
  • Sets stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, or template.
  • Positions work piece against stops or aligns layout marks with die or blade.
  • Operates controls which may include levers, switches, buttons, pedals, etc., to activate machines.
  • Observes machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction.
  • Measures work piece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation.
  • Removes burrs, sharp edges, rust, or scale from work piece.
  • Performs minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, dies, or work pieces.
  • Assists other machine operators to set up machine, and stack, mark, pack, and transport finished work pieces.
  • Can perform basic Personal Computer skills so they can enter in labor and perform inventory adjustments.
  • Can use material handling equipment to move materials when required.
  • Cleans work area, machines, and equipment; assists team members as needed.
  • Follows all Standard Operating Procedures Safely.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum 1 year Machine Operator Experience
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
