Position Summary

 

Support a positive customer experience through management and improvement of the facility Quality Management System while leading site implementation of Advanced Production Quality Planning (APQP) practices. Manufacturing Quality Control work includes: Auditing, monitoring, and determining the quality of manufacturing processes and/or outputs against defined internal and regulatory standards. Interacts with customers, facility teammates, expansion sites, and corporate resources to identify quality opportunities and to resolve product/ process quality concerns.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as site manager for ISO9001:2015 registered quality management system (QMS)
  • Own quality-related KPIs, leading the creation and execution of the plant quality strategic action plan
  • Participate in creation of PFMEAs, Control Plans, and product standards
  • Lead the customer concern process, monitoring and resolving customer quality concerns through investigation, data collection, and root cause problem solving
  • Identify opportunities to reduce the costs of poor quality, including credits, scrap, rework, etc.
  • Monitor supplier quality and partner with vendors to realize raw material quality improvements
  • Serve as the plant point of contact for external certification bodies
  • With corporate Quality, R&D, and Engineering resources, devise and execute testing to validate new products and processes
    Travel to customer sites, when required, to investigate quality concerns
  • Support relationships through strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Execute other duties as assigned

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree; 6 y+ years of relevant experience including 3-5 years management or direct/indirect leadership experience Or Master's degree; 4+ years of relevant experience including 2-4 years management or direct/indirect leadership experience
