Position Summary

Support a positive customer experience through management and improvement of the facility Quality Management System while leading site implementation of Advanced Production Quality Planning (APQP) practices. Manufacturing Quality Control work includes: Auditing, monitoring, and determining the quality of manufacturing processes and/or outputs against defined internal and regulatory standards. Interacts with customers, facility teammates, expansion sites, and corporate resources to identify quality opportunities and to resolve product/ process quality concerns.

Responsibilities:

Serve as site manager for ISO9001:2015 registered quality management system (QMS)
Own quality-related KPIs, leading the creation and execution of the plant quality strategic action plan
Participate in creation of PFMEAs, Control Plans, and product standards
Lead the customer concern process, monitoring and resolving customer quality concerns through investigation, data collection, and root cause problem solving
Identify opportunities to reduce the costs of poor quality, including credits, scrap, rework, etc.
Monitor supplier quality and partner with vendors to realize raw material quality improvements
Serve as the plant point of contact for external certification bodies
With corporate Quality, R&D, and Engineering resources, devise and execute testing to validate new products and processes
Travel to customer sites, when required, to investigate quality concerns
Support relationships through strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders
Execute other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree; 6 y+ years of relevant experience including 3-5 years management or direct/indirect leadership experience Or Master's degree; 4+ years of relevant experience including 2-4 years management or direct/indirect leadership experience
