Controls and Data Systems Manager
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Controls & Systems Manager position will manage the Engineering Team responsible for Controls and Data Systems Management. This is a senior leadership position requiring advanced
knowledge, education, and work experience to develop solutions to complex problems. This position will support multiple sites and travel is required as necessary.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Effectively support manufacturing through optimization, improvement, process standardization and engineering controls including PLC functional leadership for the division.
- Plan and execute controls upgrade projects to ensure these systems are robust and well maintained.
- Develop enterprise level standards for use in new equipment bidding process, to direct the design of controls systems.
- Manage the activities of the Controls team.
- Effectively Lead/support HMI / SCADA / MES software development & integration into facilities.
- Determine future state of shop floor software to support business needs effectively and ensure high reliability.
- Collaborate with IT to ensure adequate infrastructure is available to support Controls networks and shop floor software requirements.
- Support the value streams for each business functionally to ensure good collaboration, effective resolution of issues and facilitate business initiatives as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, or equivalent experience.
- At least 6 years of directly related experience.
- At least 3 years of management or direct/indirect leadership experience.
- Experience with complex capital project execution, installation & commissioning.
- History managing contractors for large controls and software projects.
- Strong written & verbal communication skills.
- Excellent technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Allen Bradley controls hardware and associated Rockwell software.
- Experience supporting Ignition.
- Knowledge of SAP integrations for the shop floor.
- Be willing to travel as needed.
