Chemical Process Operator, Batcher - Night Shift

Holcim Building Envelope is a leading international manufacturer and supplier of a comprehensive product portfolio for commercial building performance solutions.

$26.85/hour plus $1.00/hour shift differential

 

ABOUT THE ROLE

To unload chemicals from rail car and truck.

Manage chemical inventory.

Prepare production batch sheet data.

Verifies chemical specifications against documented standards.

This position requires getting on and off a forklift multiple times per shift. Must be able to lift up 50 pounds.  Must be able to climb ladders, railcar platforms, lift and carry hoses.  

The working conditions include an indoor dusty non-air-conditioned industrial manufacturing and warehouse environment.   Subject to temperatures that  range from 65 to 90 degrees in the general working environment and hotter in certain areas of the plant.  Occasional outdoor activities in hot or adverse weather.  Twenty-four hour working environment with multiple shifts and varying schedules.

 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

The unloadING of chemicalS from the railcars/tanker trucks into the bulk storage tanks.

Chemical tote hookup/unhook in the chemical storage area.

Verification of chemical certificates of analysis against company chemical specifications.

Daily/weekly/monthly inventory of chemicals and associated production related items (gloves, tape, labels, etc.).

Product batch sheet creation based on production schedule.

Periodic batch analysis review for wet density optimization.

Serves as a backup (floater) to various positions on the production floor.

 Maintain the 5S posture of assigned area.

Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

High School Diploma; or 1-2 year vocational training / associates degree

Forklift certified

Safety conscious mindset 

Basic maintenance skill

Basic computer skills
