Material Handler
Job Purpose
-To load trucks and containers in accordance with shipping instructions
-Maintain the warehouse in an orderly and organized fashion
Duties and Responsibilities
-Follow all Standard Work Instructions and Company Policies
-Adhere/Follow all safety rules
-Alert supervision to product quality or machine operation concerns
-Maintain the 5S standard of the assigned area
-Operates forklift in a safe manner. Stages/stocks materials and accessories in established
locations.
-Prepares finished goods for transport. Loads orders for safe and secure shipping.
-Verifies incoming and outgoing loads for accuracy.
-Move product from the warehouse and load onto specified equipment (trucks/container)
-Complete required shipping paperwork
-Must be computer literate to enter shipping data into SAP
-Unload, receive and warehouse deliveries of production materials (packaging and facer)
-Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
-High School diploma, GED, or Equivalent Work Experience
-Mfg experience preferred (demonstrated mechanical aptitude and experience with computer-
controlled equipment)
-Ability to follow standard work instructions, use measurement tools, blueprints, manuals as
needed
Working Conditions
The working conditions include an indoor, dusty non-temperature controlled, industrial manufacturing
and warehouse environment. Subject to varying cold and hot temperatures and occasional outdoor
activities in hot or adverse weather.
Physical Requirements
-Must be able to lift up to 50lbs including use of lifting assistance devices
-Ability to stand for extended period of time
-Ability to bend, stoop, reach, twist, squat, kneel as required
-Ability to operate mobile equipment as required
-This position has the potential to manage and/or handle hazardous materials and
hazardous waste.
