ABOUT THE ROLE
Holcim HBE, a leading supplier of quality, construction building materials in the United States, has immediate openings for a Split Shift Plant Electrician/Mechanic to support operations at OX Engineered Products Jax, FL. This position will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of a wide variety of fixed electrical equipment, mechanical equipment, systems, and machinery. This entails inspecting the premises, performing routine maintenance, and responding to any breakdowns. This position typically works from 5:00 p.m. until 1:00 a.m. Overtime will be required, and shift may be adjusted for business needs.
 
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Routinely walking the plant to inspect electrical and mechanical.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on plant equipment by following the manufacture’s recommended service intervals and company procedures. Maintains an inventory of regularly required replacement parts.
  • Enter all work orders, repairs, and P.M.’s in CMMS.
  • Respond, troubleshoot, and repair any equipment breakdowns.
  • Report all incidents, accidents, near misses and first aid events to supervisor.
  • Adhere to all Company Safety, Environmental and Compliance.

 
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Required Work Experience: A minimum of two years of experience performing the functions listed above in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience with troubleshooting/installation 120V – 480V electrical systems.
  • PLC and relay logic troubleshooting experience a plus.
  • Proficient in hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Welding skills are desirable.
  • Strong safety-orientation
  • Ability to work overtime.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors. 
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE").
