Finance Internship - Internal Controls & Business Process

We are seeking an Internal Controls Intern for Summer 2025 who is passionate about sustainability, driven by curiosity and keen to grow, learn, develop and thrive in our high-performance culture. This opportunity will be a 10-week, paid internship beginning June 2025.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
- Perform administrative activities such as status updates and risk & control matrix maintenance
- Aide in design and implementation/remediation plans for specific control gaps identified within various business processes such as order to cash, procure to pay or record to report.
- Support periodic ERP user access reviews, identifying and promptly addressing access discrepancies or violations to maintain system integrity.
- Analyze ERP system security roles and user assignments, ensuring compliance with organizational access controls and security policies.
- Opportunity to assist with various finance integration projects
- Conclude your internship with a presentation to executive leadership, showcasing your learnings and contributions.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Students who are currently enrolled in an undergraduate program concentrating in Accounting, Financial Data Analytics, or Management Information Systems.
- Preference given to students intending to pursue a professional license such as CPA or CISA
- Prior experience or familiarity with data analytics tools, ERP systems, or business process technologies (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau) is a plus
- Ability to problem solve and think outside the box.
- Enjoy interacting with various departments within the business: Accounting, FP&A, IT, Security and business teams
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas.
- Team oriented and able to work with all levels of the organization.
- Willing to spend time out in the field getting to know the business firsthand.
SCHEDULE & ENVIRONMENT
- This is an onsite role; the intern will be expected to be onsite Monday - Friday and work an 8-hour shift (40 hours per week is mandatory). Opportunity to flex hours as approved.
- In this internship position, you will be working in an office environment.
- You will be responsible for your own transportation to and from your worksite for the summer.
- Throughout the duration of your internship, you may be required to travel for site tours, shadow experiences, or intern events.
