Job purpose

 

This position will design, implement, and lead the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) Program for Holcim Building Envelope (HBE) and ensure it achieves targeted improvements in maintenance reliability and the associated financial benefits. This high-profile role exhibits an ability to instill an RCM culture throughout all manufacturing sites of HBE. This person must understand the processes, requirements to achieve world class results, and the financial impact of a Reliability Centered Maintenance implementation.  As the champion for the reliability program, the incumbent will lead the preventive and predictive maintenance program for all applicable operations, have a solid track record in both disciplines and create meaningful improvement in OEE2 performance.  This person must have a passion for improvement and an ability to lead transformational change.

 

Duties and responsibilities

 

  • Champion the Corporate Reliability Centered Maintenance program
  • Coach the organization on Reliability Centered Maintenance best practices
  • Accountable for the continuous improvement of the Reliability body of work to include best practices, methodologies, tools, Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), Planned Predictive Maintenance (PDM), and other applicable processes
  • Participate in the development, design, and installation/commissioning of new equipment with the capital project teams
  • Guides efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, controls, and safety systems
  • Lead equipment failure investigations and corrective actions for heavy/repetitive breakdowns to prevent recurrence
  • Project Management skills and abilities to manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet objectives and key deadlines
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical, mechanical, or reliability engineering or equivalent experience leading a Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) program
  • At least 7 years of experience in plant maintenance, quality and/or plant reliability roles
  • Advanced understanding of instrumental and electrical equipment
  • Demonstrated experience in analysis of plant maintenance data such as repair history, cost of ownership analysis, failure rates, operating points, etc.
  • Able to make decisions quickly and effectively, while using discretion and good judgment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required; demonstrated team player
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with pressured deadlines
  • Knowledge and experience in the use of Lean and Six Sigma Principles in correlation with RCM
  • Comfortable coaching up, laterally and down across the organization
  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CRMP) highly preferred, but not required
