As our project manager, your job will be to coordinate people and processes to ensure that our projects are delivered on time and produce the desired results. You will be the go-to person for everything involving a project’s organization and timeline. You will be the start of a PMO / business development team and will likely have multiple projects running concurrently. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about all businesses within Solutions and Products and gain valuable visibility within the organization.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Specific project manager responsibilities include developing detailed project plans, ensuring resource availability and allocation and delivering every project on time within budget and scope.

  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects

  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget

  • Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring 

  • Ensure resource availability and allocation

  • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress

  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs

  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques

  • Provide appropriate status reporting and escalate to management as needed

  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks

  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors

  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

  • Understands the needs of the customers/stakeholders and positions the company to profitably meet mutual needs. Provides excellent customer service to stakeholder groups by addressing issues, questions or concerns in a timely manner. Builds long lasting relationships within the building industry.

  • Identify areas of opportunity, growth, partnership, and acquisition opportunities, vetting for viability and impact to the company. Participate in due diligence activities as needed. Collaborate with other divisions to leverage resources. 

  • Ensures adherence to budget and optimizes processes to achieve greater operational effectiveness. 

  • Ensures a culture built with honesty, integrity and in compliance with the company requirements.

  • Collaborate and partner with other business unit and cross functional leaders in the development of overall objectives and long-range goals/strategies for Holcim Building Envelope. 

  • Deliver synergies across Holcim business lines driving both cross selling and intercompany sales.  

  • Other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • The Project Manager should be genuinely curious, self motivated and excited about a challenge.  They will have proven project management experience,  a background in business skills, management, budgeting and analysis.  The candidate should be an excellent communicator, naturally organized and comfortable managing multiple tasks, they also need to be a team player and have a problem-solving mindset.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required, Project Management Certification preferred
  • Preferred Field of Study: Operations Management, Business, Sales, Marketing, Civil Engineering.
  • Required Work Experience: 10+ years of experience in project management
  • Required Computer and Software Skills: Intermediate computer skills using Microsoft Office Products (Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Tableau, SAP and Google Meets/Zoom experience a plus.
  • Travel Requirements: Up to 30% travel
