We are currently looking for highly skilled Material Handler Tank Farm Operator/Shipping to work out of our Rockland, MA facility.

Holcim is a leading international manufacturer and supplier of a comprehensive product portfolio for commercial building performance solutions. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Uses pick ticket to palletize, wrap and band orders for shipment to customers.
  • Routes shipments using Transportation Management System.
  • Prepares and print bills of lading.
  • Contact carrier to arrange for shipment pick up
  • Loads outgoing deliveries. 
  • Enters completed shipments into computer and file paperwork to insure timely and accurate inventory records.
  • Take calls from freight carriers to schedule deliveries, provide directions to facility.
  • Follows company policies and procedures
  • Supervise the Unloading of Liquid tankers into the tank system
  • Set up, direct and supervise tankers in accordance with safety plan •
  • Daily inventories of tanks and existing capacities •
  •  Full understanding of Hazardous communication and RCRA training
  • Work outdoors on a regular basis

 

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Basic math skills
  • Able to lift 50 pounds repeatedly
  • Able to stand and walk 80% of the time
  • Basic computer skills
  • Able to speak, read and write English
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Climbing ladders to check levels in tanks

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience operating a sit-down forklift required
  • DOT training required – company provided
  • Working knowledge of Hazardous Material Handling and Transportation regulations, with appropriate certificate(s) of training (or be able to acquire them).
