Accounting and Reporting Manager Germany

We are looking for Accounting and Reporting Manager for our office based in Germany who will be responsible for daily operational accounting activity for legal entities in Germany.

 

MAIN ACTIVITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

Management

  • Managing the daily operational activity and Team of the Accounting Team, informing CFO about problems and status
  • Ensuring all bookkeeping are done in line with local gaap and HARP regulations
  • Supporting global Holcim Finance Projects

Monthly/yearly closing and Group reporting

  • Responsible for the timely and accurate monthly closing for German legal entities
  • Responsible for the preparation and follow up of the monthly closing task list
  • Reviewing manual JE prepared by team members and approve for processing by SS
  • Responsible for accruals are properly determined and recorded
  • Responsible for reconciliations are done on time
  • Ensuring profit eliminations are correctly calculated and reported
  • Reviewing and approving monthly reporting package (FC) and note packages requested by Holcim Consolidation Team
  • Review trial balance, balance sheet trend, FC reports and HIVE reports
  • Creating/reviewing annual report

Taxation

  • Providing VAT analytical reports to tax advisors in all VAT registration counties
  • Follow up VAT declarations done by EBS tax advisor and propose VAT payments (reimbursements)
  • Ensuring VAT payments and declarations are done in due time
  • Making VAT reconciliation (declaration vs VAT GL balance)
  • Informing CFO for possible VAT compliance problems
  • Follow up CIT preparation and timely submission

Inventory &fixed assets valuation

  • Follow up inventory valuation in all entities (transfer price, margin, delivery cost and custom value)
  • Ensuring all physical inventory organized in line with standards
  • Ensuring profit eliminations are correctly reported

Statutory and compliance GAAP

  • Ensuring external advisors receiving all documents for monthly closing
  • Review statutory bookkeeping
  • Review local requirements and make proposal for external/internal bookkeeping of branches/entities
  • Reconciliation local and group result
  • Follow up all tax declarations are submitted to authorities

Audit and document retention

  • Supporting internal and external audit
  • Responsible that Document retention done by Finance department is in line with Document
  • Retention Policy

 

YOUR PROFILE

  • Master Degree in Accounting, Finance
  • 5 year professional experience in Finance/Accounting or equivalent in multinational group
  • SAP/ERP knowledge
  • English - fluent verbal/written, German - native/fluent
  •  MS Office
  • Google mail/sheets
  • Knowledge of IFRS and German Gaap
  • Taking responsibility and initiative
