Are you a strategic professional with a knack for global procurement? Do you thrive on driving innovation and sustainability while managing a diverse portfolio of packaging materials? We are looking for a Global Category Manager – Packaging Materials to join our team and play a pivotal role in our organization. In this role, you will define and execute procurement strategies that align global objectives with local needs, focusing on cost reduction, supply continuity, and sustainable practices.
Your responsibilities will include:

Developing and executing mid- to long-term category strategies for a broad range of packaging materials, including paper, plastic, glass, and metal, with a strong focus on innovation and sustainability.

Leading global sourcing activities, from supplier selection and contract negotiation to performance management, leveraging market intelligence and cost modeling to drive value.

Collaborating with key internal stakeholders, including R&D, Marketing, and Operations, to translate business requirements into effective sourcing solutions and promote knowledge sharing.

Mitigating supply chain risks, such as material price volatility and geopolitical disruptions, while aligning sourcing practices with corporate ESG goals, including circular economy initiatives.

Working closely with regional teams to develop global sourcing solutions that reduce costs and improve efficiency across the business.
Your qualifications, experience and skills
- A Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Engineering, Supply Chain or Business Administration.

At least 5 years of experience in global sourcing or category management, with a strong focus on packaging materials within the FMCG, manufacturing, or industrial sectors.

Proven track record in managing global suppliers and cross-functional projects.

Strong strategic and tactical execution skills, with a proactive and results-driven approach.

Fluent in English; proficiency in German and/or French is a significant advantage.

Willingness to travel internationally up to 50%.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
