About the GHAR Team

 

The GHAR team (Global Hub Analytics & Reporting) was launched in 2020 with the objective to provide Data & Reporting Services to the Corporate Functions from our Global Hub in Mumbai (captive), while creating synergies for the Group. The portfolio covers a wide range of Analytics & Reporting activities, such as data collection & validation, automation processes, visualization & dashboards (Qlikview, etc), master data standardization, executive slides & first level of analysis. As of now, the team consists of 35+ people (mixed of the business & technical skills) who are supporting several functions (Commercial, Production, Energy, Procurement, Audit, Safety & Sustainability).

 

Job description, responsibilities & duties

In this role, you will be working with the top level professionals of Holcim Group from the Headquarter in Zug and Paris in various areas of Corporate functions. Dynamic, challenging and agile environment of Corporate opens doors to the fast development and growth as a part of the impactful projects with the high visibility.

 

  • Coordinate and/or act as Project Manager of activities related to data management (collection, validation, visualization and analysis)
  • Prepare (clean, transform, sort…) complex data sets to make them suitable for analysis
  • Identify potential sets of rules for data quality & data validation
  • Perform first level of interpretation on data (trends, patterns, key messages)
  • Prepare visual reports (e.g. power point) to be presented to management
  • Create documentation on process and business requirements
  • Build understanding of the Corporate functions in detail to be able to explore automation potential
  • Act as a bridge between the business and the development teams
  • Apply internal rules (HARP, internal policies, etc.) to interpret the data  
  • Communicate clearly requirements, final design and visualization to the development team
  • Act as a gatekeeper of business process requirements pipeline
  • Review requirements from different angles applying professional experience, logical thinking and common sense to achieve the best possible outcome
  • Participation in the Analytical/Reporting/AI forums/workshops to oversee current trends in the technology and systems
  • Train other members of the team/company to build awareness/best practices and common knowledge about the tools and strategy

 

Personality requirements and skills

Computer skills

  • Mastery in Excel & Google Sheets is a must (e.g. high-level macros, complete programming, solving) - need to be confirmed with a specific test
  • Excellent presentation skills (PowerPoint/Google Slides) - Proficient in the preparation of presentations for Top Management - sample to be provided
  • Office tools (MS Office, Google tools, Surveys, Share drives, etc.)
  • Experience with Qlikview/Reporting/Analytical tools (SPA FC/BW) - visualization
  • Knowledge in any other tool is appreciated (Axiom, Tableau, Data base)

 

Process, Controlling and Project management skills

  • Min. 3 years in Reporting and Data Analytics
  • Creativity to identify, present, and deliver process improvements and efficiencies through technology
  • Strong technical & automation skills
  • Understanding of continuous process improvement tools and techniques
  • Analyze and work on cost savings, cost optimization opportunities with cross functions
  • Green Belt / Lean Manager (CPI) certified candidate is preferred
  • CSM certified or SCRUM professional is preferred
