About the role:

In this role of Revenue Accounting, the incumbent will monitor sales transactions, provide analysis and evaluate if sales transactions posted in the system are accurate; resolve sales related discrepancies and generate sales reports which would be used as reference to company’s profitability reporting. Provide supervision and monitoring of deliverables of the revenue team (Freight and Price Upload, Billing and Invoice, Sales) and reporting, consolidation the results thereof to the Revenue Lead.
Job Scope: 
 Accurate Recording of sales transactions.
 Timely Resolution of business partner inquiries/ concerns related to Revenue.
 Review transaction details and resolve discrepancies identified in sales revenue reconciliations
 Complete relevant period end closing activities and provide support whenever necessary on the consolidation and reporting activities at corporate level
 Generate sales-related reports
 Attend to audit requirements to help ensure successful completion of audit
 Maintain the highest ethical and integrity standards in all internal and external dealings and internal and external relationships

 

Responsibilities:
1.     Ensure timely execution of the items relating to sales transactions to verify transactions booked in SAP like delivery made without POD , Price , freight and delivery related errors
2.     Responsible for coordinating and resolution of hanging Sales invoice documents in the SAP System
3.     Coordination with the pricing team on the preparation of rebates computation and posting of accrual thereof during the month end
4.     Review of DM/CM requests for price adjustments and missing freight details and other revenue related adjustments and posting of the same in SAP
5.     Review of Sales return order and Sales Invoice Cancellation and cement donation requests and posting of the same in SAP
6.     Ensure that Sales in Transit is posted on monthly basis and proper reversal of the same in the next month
7.     Generates Sales Qty and Value reports and make sure that no discrepancies observed with the GR55 report
8.     Preparation of MCS Compliance report for the revenue items like MCS 23 and MCS13
9.     Preparation of accurate JEs for Rebates accrual and reversal and Pay-out by strictly meeting the SLA
10.   Processing of requests received through ORF like Sales Invoice Cancellation, DM/CM Requests and Cement Donations
11.   Preparation of NSP report on monthly basis
12.  Ensure timely preparation reports and answering the business queries received through SNOW requests and Incident request
13.  Timely update of Process documents and Work instructions in compliance with the ISO Audit
14.  Promptly responding to the Audit queries and providing them with the necessary Working papers
15.  Preparation of BS Recon for Rebates and Accounts receivable trade and identification of the open items pertaining to the rebates and generation of exception reports in case of AR Trade.
16. Coordination with the Accounting Team on the Journal entries request raised through SNOW and timely addressing of Concerns related to the missing details
 

 

Who you are:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in accounting related field 
  2. Exposure to the SAP -SD (preferred)
  3. Good communication skills with exposure to work with external foreign clients
  4. Strong accounting knowledge including, Knowledge on revenue accounting process, rebate calculation with various prog, knowledge about SAP T-Code for cancellation of invoices & Debit memo and Credit memo creation, sales quantity reconciliation etc
  5. Knowledge of accounting systems and procedures, business process and controls assurance, revenue accounting, customer handling skills, financial information review and analysis, general ledger and reporting, professional and ethical behavior, risk management and governance, information technology
  6. SAP-FICO, SD, et al, ICS-SoD, HARP strategic alignment, analysis and problem-solving, manages execution, customer focus, support change and innovation, communication, fosters teamwork and cooperation, adapts and learns, builds trust and confidence
