Role - Sourcing & Trading Manager

Job Location: Chennai (WFH)

Experience: 8+ Years

 

 

 

Education : 

  • B.E./B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify saving opportunities in his / her category
  • Ensure global & local policies and procedures are conveyed to stakeholders
  • Initiate and support the RFx process locally as defined by category strategy
  • Align decision makers through focused communication
  • Assure compliance with applicable laws, ethical standards, policies and codes of business conduct
  • Ensure to execute the category strategy as required and agreed. Where compliance is an issue, find and eliminate root causes
  • Measure performance through KPI’s
  • Track achieved results

 

Experience Required:

  • Manage the Sourcing of goods in accordance with Holcim category strategy, as well as applicable policies, procedures and specifications
  • Act as the point of contact between country Category Managers and Indian Suppliers. 
  • Drive the realization of savings, supply efficiency, quality, and process improvements in Holcim Countries, in line with regional and global strategies.
  • Identify saving opportunities and initiate individual projects and initiatives 
  • Negotiate for best cost in line with the should be cost for local volumes, processes, quality levels and prices 
  • Manage and develop Suppliers
  • Operational knowledge in Import/Export processes will be added advantage.

 

Technical / functional skills: 

  • Minimum 8-10 years in procurement role (category management, sourcing, operations) with exposure to supply chain management, strategic sourcing and optimal procurement processes and standards.
  • Demonstrated performance in working within cross-functional teams, with requisite drive and energy to ensure that a challenging benefits and capability building agenda is successfully delivered

 

Travel:

50% travel required
