Health & Safety Responsible

Mission:

Ensure the promotion, communication, and monitoring of Occupational Health & Safety (H&S) legal requirements and Holcim standards across all cement plant activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Promote, communicate, and oversee the implementation of H&S regulations and Holcim standards at the cement plant.
• Maintain both a broad overview and a detailed focus on H&S processes to drive continuous improvement.
• Enhance the H&S culture at all organizational levels by developing and refining safety processes.
• Support, guide, and challenge line management, workforce, and contractors to ensure compliance with legal and company safety standards.
• Conduct local audits and actively participate in H&S planning to ensure regulatory adherence.
• Develop and maintain a sustainable framework for identifying hazards, evaluating risks, and implementing mitigation measures to reduce H&S risks.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Technical university degree in engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in an industrial environment.
• H&S certifications: Risk Assessor and H&S Inspector.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership abilities.
• Ability to engage, inspire, and develop people while fostering a safety-first culture.
• Proactive, structured, and a natural team player.
