Inbound Materials Supervisor

ABOUT THE ROLE
The inbound Material Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the efficient and accurate receipt, inspection, and storage of materials and goods coming into the facility. This role ensures that all inbound shipments are processed on time, inventory is properly stored, and material is readily available for production or outbound distribution. The supervisor will manage and lead a team of mobile equipment operators while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

- Supervise and lead a team of mobile equipment operators and material handlers, ensuring they are trained and equipped to handle incoming goods efficiently.
- Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of mobile equipment in the quarry and transporting raw materials to the plant, ensuring machinery operates effectively and efficiently.
- Delegate tasks to team members based on priority and workflow requirements.
- Monitor staff performance and provide coaching to ensure optimal productivity and adherence to safety and operational standards.
- Foster a positive, team-oriented environment that encourages communication, collaboration, and employee development.
- Oversee the inbound receiving process, including uploading, inspecting, and verifying incoming materials.
- Ensure all inbound shipments are recorded accurately and that material is safely stored in appropriate locations.
- Coordinate with purchasing, production, and outbound teams to ensure timely availability of material for production or shipping.
- Ensure proper organization of materials following inventory management best practices.
- Conduct regular inventory counts, track material usage, and report discrepancies or issues in material quantities.
- Handle discrepancies in shipments by working with suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies related to the handling, storage, and documentation of inbound materials.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in receiving, storage, and inventory management.
- Implement strategies to improve the efficiency of inbound operations, reduce errors, and optimize material flow.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Education: High school diploma or equivalent or 5-7. years of equivalent experience.
Additional Education Preferred: Associate's degree
Field of Study Preferred: Logistics, warehouse management, or related field

- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
